Another Search Tool Request- Please?

Active Rain has so many Members now that it is hard to keep up with the massive amounts of Posts that go through the Dashboard every day....let alone for the whole week.  I have had a busy week and I remember logging on for a few minutes, seeing a post that sounded interesting but thinking I would read it later.  It had something to do with 'SEO'.

Now that I have time to read it, I can not for the life of me remember what it was titled, let alone who wrote it.  So, here is my idea.  Can we add the search tool in one more area?  Please?

By adding the Search Tool here we could search posts that are relevant to the search term within a certain timeframe.  For example, I could search SEO within the last 1 Week.

Does anyone else think that this would be a Useful Tool?

Ooooh Stephanie I second the request/motion!

Stephanie,

Sounds like a good idea...let's see what AR says about it.

I have had this happen to me on more than one occassion and agree.  When I search now the options don't allow a search within a time frame and when I search I now have to search the search results.  A time frame on the searches would be great.

Hi Kris,  LOL.   I like the Ooooh part.  :)

Hey Neal,  We'll see.  I sure would like to see it..

Hi Miriam,  this seems to be happening to me more and more.  Let's see what happens.  :)

Stephanie you are reading my mind! Or at least my wishes. I am looking for a blog title that caught my eye yesterday morning. So, I am still just 'looking' through last nights blogs to find it. And of course I am coming across too many other noteworthy blogs that I must read and/or comment on. It is so annoying all the great information and ideas on this forum! 8-)

Tara,  LOL.  I don't that it is annoying...but it sure is overwhelming.  I wish I could remember that post!

I think it would be a great idea.  There have been many times I have a particular thing on my mind and want to look for people's opinions on it.  This way we could type in a topic and up it comes by date posted.

That would be really helpful--can't  tell you how time consuming it can be sorting through all of the search results!

What a great idea. I've been off most of this week too, so I am missing so much. Now in Chicago for the weekend so by the time I get home I will have basically been here not much in 10 days. I know I missed contests etc.... and it would be great to be about to catch up by subject matter.

Stephanie, this would be a great help. I just book mark everything I want to come back and read.

I think that would help tremendously. What a great suggestion.

I agree Stephanie that it would be a good idea to make searching easier.

Great idea. Once I see a post that I want to come back to I immediately bookmark it. Because I know the likelihood that I am going to be able to find it again is slim. This search capability would make it much easier.

Great idea, Steph!  Posts roll off of the dashboard so quickly that if you don't read them right away, they seem to vanish into a black hole :(  I'm sure that there are some awesome posts out there that I've missed because I couldn't find them again later.

Stephanie--Great idea! It is so hard to find some of the past posts through the current search.

Stephanie - Cool idea!  I chat with firends and they'll ask did you read the ____ post?  I look for it and sometimes get frustrated looking and in the oprocess find something else that interests me and get side-tracked.

Stephanie,

I'm going with this...If you thought of it, it must be a good idea!!! BTW, I think that post you're looking for was "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy!!! :^) Thanks,   Fran

Bob, are you listening? Another great idea.

Bob and I came up with an idea last week too. Allowing members to have more than one link to our site (s). What you think?

I think I commented on one of the AR posts recently, that I wanted a search feature that allowed us to search by subject and time frame. There are a lot of little tweaks that would make our AR experience a lot better.
Posted by Lisa Hill (Daytona Beach Real Estate) (Florida Property Experts) almost 4 years ago
I agree Stephanie. The poor search ability of AR is really my only complaint.  Let's hope this gets to the right ears.

And of course doing a criteria with that add on would surely make it easier......many a time I kept getting so many pages that I got sick of looking for it.
