What? Could It Be? Does That Say Solar-Powered? In Houston???

Well, it's a crummy, wet, cold day in Houston today but when I saw this driving down the street today I said Woah Horsies!    I had a better picture lined up until a Cop showed up and made me move my car.  :(  (oops)

Ok, so this is just a teaser.  Sorry.  Hints for now....Nah.

Cool, I lived in a solar home in Colorado. No such luck wth the home we currently have in Bastrop, TX but if I can convert it I will!

Hi Deb, That's interesting!  I was told at one time that I could not publicly write about this development..atleast until their advertising stuff is done.  Looks like its done.  :)  BUT, I have a call in to see if I can finish...

Stephanie, Do you have any charts that show what the difference would be in the atmosphere if, for example, 25% of our homes were green, then 50%, 75%, etc. Or the same thing  for oil savings if those percentages of homes were green?

Hey Lisa, Actually...I'm working on a project right now and those statistics are part of it.  I was going to post it on my outside blog....I'll post them here.  I'm waiting on 2007 numbers and I am supposed to have them by the end of the month.

There are lots of green projects popping up all over the country.  It's about time too, other countries have been way ahead in the green building market, I guess we're just a little slower to catch on.

This is great, now if they could start developing more green cars it would be even better.  We need to eliminate oil exports from the middle east.

Hi June,  yes...we are very behind on green stuff here.  Too bad.  This is the first BIG Green development here...so it's actually big news.  :)

Hi Chris,  Wouldn't that be nice?  :)  I'm all for reducing/eliminating the exports.  For sure!

Hi there,

Sorry it was a crummy, cold and wet day there. O.k. now I'm bragging, we just arrived a few hours ago in Honolulu, it's spectacular. I'm just waiting for good friend and fellow Rainer Marlene Bridges to get ready to head out for a while.

Beautiful concept! Hats off to the developer and all involved for taking the step. The homeowners will appreciate it even more once they see their energy bills!
