I was cruising around my Statcounter last night and came across a Houston Green website that has ever so kindly placed a link to one of my outside blogs on it. This website had Loads of information, so much information that I didn't read it all last night, I went back today.
While there today I found a Super Neat tool for cities worldwide. It is called Green Map. On Green Map you can pull up any city that has sponsored one of these and find anything Green in the area.
I found everything from Organic Fruit Markets to Recycled Bicycles to Historic Monuments. It was quite fascinating. The maps are so detailed that you can take it down to street level and find exact directions and links to websites.
So, if you think that there is not a whole lot of Green in your area or you would like to sponsor a Green Map for your area--go check out Green Map.
The one for Houston is not complete yet, but the one for San Antonio was GREAT! Oh, don't forget that this is Worldwide. If you are going to be overseas and want some good Green information on the area...this is the place to go.

Green is definitely getting a boost here, especially when it comes to home heating, which is a pretty big issue in a state that faces 4+ month winters.
(how appropriate, my security word is catcus.. LOL)
Stephanie,
I checked but we don't have one in NC yet. We have a lot of green but it is mostly trees and plants - the eco-movement has not taken hold in my area yet. When it does your blog will give me knowledge to embrace it.
Hi Rita, I'm sure that green is on it's way! Thanks!!
Hi Wendy, Thanks so much for stopping by! I found the site fascinating and a fantastic idea. I can't wait for GCG to finish it. I'm sure there are some Greenies on here that may just hop in and make one.
I'll check out the participate part of it. I must have missed that link.
Best wishes to you as well with your site. It's a fantastic idea!
Thanks Barbara JO!!
